According to Robin Linden and the Second Life Blog the forums are going to be phased out and closed over the next few months… What the heck is LL thinking? I have no clue but I think they are making a big mistake and for some reason they are trying to minimize thier contacts with the SL community…
Since the announcement of the forum closure, the community has come together and created thier own forums and hoping the SL community can stay in contact and informed on thier own… I have visited several of these new forums and as well as those that are “back from the dead” and I have to say that, thus far I have enjoyed the SL-Forums the best, seems easy to navigate and lots of funny and friendly people already joining. Which will be your “new” SL forum?
